  • Every sealed PDF carries a PAdES digital signature per signer plus a platform certification seal.
  • Each signature block prints a verification ID and a QR code that opens the public verification page.

Sign a PDF, step by step

  1. Open Quick Sign and upload the PDF

Sign in (no card is needed to create an account), choose Quick Sign and drop the PDF or pick it from your library. Pages render in the browser so you can review them first.

  2. Add your signature

Draw it on the screen, type your name in a signature style, or upload a photo of your handwritten signature; the background is removed automatically.

  3. Place it on the page

Tap where the signature goes and move the block until it sits right; the signing date is written into it automatically. Enter your symbol so every page carries a page mark that can be checked on its own. Initials, date and text fields are placed in the Documents workspace when you send a PDF to other signers.

  4. Sign & seal

Press Sign & seal. The tool applies a PAdES digital signature, writes the verification ID and QR code into the block, and marks every page.

  5. Download or share the sealed PDF

Download the sealed file or send it to the other party. Anyone can check it by scanning the QR code or entering the verification ID.

Sign a PDF is included with a Sealique account; the processing happens in your browser and on our servers, nothing is shared with third parties.

Questions people ask

Is an online PDF signature from Sealique legally valid?

Yes in most jurisdictions: it is a PAdES digital signature with a signing time, the signer's identity and a tamper-evident seal that anyone can check on the online verification page.

PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures) is the ETSI standard for digital signatures in PDF. Check the rules that apply to your country and document type, especially for notarised or witnessed documents.

Can several people sign the same PDF?

Yes. Invite signers by e-mail, in a fixed order or all at once; each signs from a personal link and the final PDF carries every signature.

You see who has signed and can send reminders. Signers never need an account.

How do I sign a PDF on my phone?

Open the signing link on your phone, draw your signature with a finger and tap where it goes; the sealed PDF is produced on the server in seconds.

Sealique also installs as an app on Android and iOS from the browser menu, so it opens like any other app.

What does the QR code in the signature block do?

The tamper-evident QR code links to the verification page for this exact document, so anyone with a phone can check that the file was never changed.

The block also prints the verification ID, which can be typed on the verification page when the QR code cannot be scanned.

Do I need to print anything?

No. The whole process happens in the browser, and the sealed PDF is the original; a printout can still be checked page by page through the page marks.
