How do I set up my organisation or team so colleagues share events, reports and documents?

An organisation in Sealique groups colleagues under one name and logo with owner, admin and member roles; events, QR code registers and reports are shared with it in one click.

An account in Sealique is personal; an organisation is where a ministry, an NGO, a company, a school or a cooperative keeps its people together. Members are invited by e-mail, get a role, and find the events and reports shared with the organisation without anyone forwarding files. Event pages can be hosted in the organisation's name.

Key facts

  • An account can belong to several organisations; each has a name, a description, a website, a contact e-mail and a logo.
  • Members are invited by e-mail with a role: admin or member, next to the owner who created it; invitations are accepted from a link and can be revoked before that.
  • Events and their attendance reports can be shared with the organisation, so every member finds them without a forwarded file.
  • Event pages and attendance registers can be hosted by the organisation, whose name appears as the host.
  • Data tables, dashboards, projects and documents are shared with chosen people by e-mail, with roles from viewer to manager, independently of the organisation.

What does an organisation give me?

One identity for the group: a name and a logo, a members list, and a place where shared events and reports appear for everyone. A meeting created by one colleague and shared with the organisation shows up for the others with its participants, minutes and sealed reports; nobody has to e-mail a PDF around or remember who has the latest version.

How do roles work?

The owner created the organisation and can do everything, including changing roles and removing members. Admins manage members and invitations alongside the owner. Members use what is shared with them and share their own events with the organisation. Every change of membership is written to the audit log with who did it and when.

How is sharing different for tables and documents?

Events and reports are shared with the whole organisation in one click. Data tables, dashboards and projects are shared person by person with a role (viewer, contributor, editor, manager), and projects pass their roles down to the tables and dashboards they contain. Documents are shared for viewing by e-mail, and signatures are requested through signing invitations. This way a sensitive contract or a payroll table never becomes visible to a whole organisation by accident.

Organisations, step by step

  1. Create the organisation

Sign in, open Organisations and choose New organisation: name, description, website, contact e-mail and logo.

  2. Invite colleagues

Enter each e-mail and a role; the invitation arrives by e-mail and is accepted from a link. Revoke an invitation that should not have gone out.

  3. Share your work

When creating an event or a report, share it with the organisation; when building an event page, choose the organisation as the host.

  4. Keep it tidy

Change roles or remove members from the organisation page; the audit log records who did what.

Organisations is included with a Sealique account; the processing happens in your browser and on our servers, nothing is shared with third parties.
