How do I create an electronic signature online by drawing, typing or uploading a photo?
In Sealique you draw a signature on screen, type it in a handwriting style, or upload a photo cleaned in your browser, then save it to reuse.
A saved signature is the image placed in every signature block you sign in Sealique, whether you sign your own PDF in a minute, sign a document someone sent you, or check in at a meeting. You can keep several (a full signature, initials, one for each role) and choose a default.

Key facts
- Three ways to make one: draw with a finger or a mouse, type your name rendered in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature on paper.
- A photo is cleaned in your browser before it is saved: the paper background is removed so only the ink remains on a transparent image.
- Saved signatures live under My signatures; you can keep several, set a default and retire one without losing documents already signed with it.
- The saved signature appears as a Saved option on the Quick Sign page and on every signing link, next to Draw, Type and Upload.
- A guest who signs an invitation without an account draws, types or uploads on the spot; the image is kept only in that document.
Draw, type or upload: which is best?
Drawing on a phone screen with a finger gives the closest match to your paper signature. Typing is the quickest and always legible; the text is rendered in a script font. Uploading a photo is right when you want the exact signature from your passport or your bank card: photograph it on white paper in good light, and the cleaner removes the background.
Whatever the method, the legal value does not come from the picture: it comes from the PAdES digital signature that Sealique applies when the document is sealed, with the signer's identity, the time and the verification ID.
Where is the saved signature used?
Quick Sign places it on your own PDF; a signing invitation offers it under Saved; the per-page mark uses your symbol next to it. When you sign, the block shows the image with Digitally signed by, your name, the time and the verification ID, and the QR code that opens the verification page.
Can I change or remove a signature?
Yes. Create a new one at any time and make it the default; retire an old one so it is no longer offered. Documents already sealed keep the image that was used, because the sealed PDF is never rewritten.

Questions people ask
Is a drawn or typed signature legally valid?
The image is only the visible part; the legal weight comes from the PAdES digital signature, the identity record and the audit trail added when the PDF is sealed.
Rwanda's ICT law and the East African acts recognise electronic signatures; see the legal guides.
Can I upload a photo of my handwritten signature?
Yes. Photograph it on white paper; the background is removed in your browser so only the ink is kept, with a transparent background.
Can I keep more than one signature?
Yes. Save as many as you need, for example a full signature and initials, and choose one as the default.
Do people I invite need to create a signature first?
No. On the signing page they draw, type or upload on the spot; nothing is required before opening the link.
Does it cost anything?
No. Saved signatures are part of every Sealique account: no card, no watermark, no trial clock.
