How do I crop the pages of a PDF online?

Open the PDF in Sealique, draw the area to keep in your browser or type the margins; the cropped copy lands in your library, ready for a digital signature.

Wide scanner margins, a letterhead you do not need, a figure to extract from a report, a page to read comfortably on a phone: cropping keeps only the part of the page that matters. Draw the area on the preview or type the margins, and the tool trims every selected page the same way.

Key facts

  • Crop PDF on Sealique trims every page or a range, either by drawing a box on the page preview or by typing margins in millimetres, and is included with a Sealique account.
  • Cropping changes the visible page box only: nothing is rasterised, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
  • The page preview is rendered in your browser; the crop is applied on the server and saved as a new document in your library.
  • A crop that would leave less than 20 points of page is refused, so a typo cannot produce an empty page.
  • The original stays untouched; the cropped copy can be merged, numbered or signed.

What does cropping change in the file?

Every PDF page has a media box and a crop box that tell viewers which area to show. The tool moves those boxes inward by the amount you drew or typed, taking the page rotation into account, and writes a new file on Sealique servers. Because the content is not redrawn, the result is as sharp as the original and far smaller than a rasterised copy would be.

Hiding is not removing

Cropped-off content can still be extracted by software, so crop to tidy a page and redact to remove sensitive information. Both should happen before the PAdES digital signature that seals the final file.

Questions people ask

Is the cropped content deleted?

No. Cropping sets the visible area of the page; the content outside is hidden, not removed. Use Redact PDF to remove content for good.

Can I crop a single page?

Yes. Type that page number in the range field; the other pages keep their size.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No. The page is not re-rendered; text stays text and images keep their resolution.

Can I crop a rotated or landscape page?

Yes. The box is applied in the orientation the page is displayed, so what you draw is what you keep.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is included with a Sealique account: no card, no watermark, no daily limit.
