How do I edit a PDF online without sharing it with third parties?
Upload the PDF to the Sealique editor, rewrite text, add tables or cover content in your browser, then save: the original is kept and the copy is ready to sign.
Forms to fill, a wrong date in a contract, a paragraph to rewrite, a phone number to cover: the editor lets you fix a PDF before it goes out for signature. The file is uploaded to your private library, the pages are edited in your browser and the saved PDF is built on Sealique servers. The original is kept and the edited copy is stored next to it, ready to send for signing.

Key facts
- Editing a PDF with Sealique is included with an account and has no daily task cap and no watermark.
- Every edit is kept as a new version of the document, so the original is never lost.
- You can rewrite text, add text boxes, tables, images, stamps, shapes, a watermark and fillable form fields, cover content and rotate, reorder or remove pages.
- The edited PDF can be signed and sealed on the same page without downloading and re-uploading it.
- Sealed documents are never edited: a signed PDF stays exactly as it was verified.
Edit a PDF, step by step
Open the editor and choose a PDF
Sign in, open Edit a PDF and drop a file of up to 50 MB, or pick an unsigned document from your library. The file is uploaded to your private library and the pages render in the browser for editing.
Rewrite or add text
Switch to Edit text and tap a passage to rewrite it, or add a text box in a sans, serif or mono font, any colour, 5 to 72 pt. Rewriting needs selectable text; on a scan, cover the passage and add a text box.
Add tables, images or covers
In Arrange mode, place tables, images (shrunk in the browser to at most 1600 px), check marks, highlights, lines and arrows. Use Cover to drag a box of any colour over anything that should not be seen; the text underneath stays in the file.
Stamp, draw shapes, watermark, add form fields
Stamp picks a standard stamp (APPROVED, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT and more), a text stamp you write yourself or a picture of a real stamp or signature with its background removed in the browser; stamps you keep are listed under My stamps. Shape adds rectangles, ellipses, triangles, stars, arrows and speech bubbles with stroke and fill. Watermark lays text or a picture across all or some pages, centred or tiled. Form field places real fillable fields (text, multiline, checkbox, radio group, dropdown, date, signature box) so the saved PDF can be filled in any viewer.
Rotate, reorder or remove pages
In the Pages panel (tap Pages on a phone), rotate pages, move them up or down into a new order, remove the ones you do not need or add a blank page.
Save and send for signing
Press Save, give the copy a name and choose a folder. The edited PDF lands in your library as a copy linked to the original, which stays unchanged, and you can sign it or send it straight away.
Edit a PDF is included with a Sealique account; the processing happens in your browser and on our servers, nothing is shared with third parties.

Questions people ask
Is my PDF shared with anyone when I edit it with Sealique?
No. The file is stored in your private library, the edits happen in your browser and the saved PDF is built on Sealique servers; nothing is shared with third parties.
Only you can open the documents in your library unless you share or send one for signing yourself. Drafts of your edits are kept with your account so you can continue later.
Does a cover box remove the text underneath?
No. A cover box hides content visually in the saved PDF, but the underlying text stays in the file and can still be selected or extracted.
A cover is a filled box laid over the page, not a redaction. For confidential data that must be removed from the file, use a true redaction tool before sharing the document.
Can I edit a PDF that is already signed?
No. A PDF that carries a digital signature is refused, because a signed document must stay exactly as it was signed.
Make the changes first and sign afterwards. If a signed document needs a correction, edit the unsigned original or a fresh copy and sign that version again.
Does editing change my original PDF?
No. The original stays untouched in your library and the edited PDF is saved as a linked edited copy, so both are kept.
The edited copy records what was changed and can be edited again, split, merged or sent for a PAdES digital signature like any other document.
Do I need an account to edit a PDF on my phone or computer?
Yes, you need a Sealique account: the editor keeps your documents and drafts in a private library, so it has to know who you are.
The editor runs in the browser on Android and iOS as well as on a computer: tap to place text, tables or cover boxes, move them with a finger, and reorder pages in the panel. Sealique also installs as an app from the browser menu.
What files and sizes can the editor open?
Any unsigned PDF of up to 50 MB; edits save on PDFs of up to 500 pages. PNG, JPEG or WebP images above 1600 px are shrunk to that size.
The file you open has to be a PDF. To turn pictures into a PDF first, use the image to PDF tool, then open the result in the editor.
