How do I make an event page where guests say they are coming, with RSVP, photos and QR check-in?
An event page in Sealique is a public link where guests say I'm coming, Maybe or Can't, see who else is coming, and check in by QR code.
Every event in Sealique can have a public page: a cover photo or gallery, a headline, a countdown and a join card where guests say whether they are coming and how excited they are. The wall shows who is coming, with their messages. On the day, the same page offers a QR check-in, so you can compare promises with the people who actually came.

Key facts
- Guests answer I'm coming, Maybe or Can't with a name, an optional e-mail and a message, with no account and no app.
- The host can add up to 12 questions (text, paragraph, choice, multiple choice, yes/no, scale, number) and export the answers as CSV.
- Up to 10 photos make the cover or gallery, in hero, mosaic, collage or carousel layouts with a chosen accent colour.
- Listed events appear on the public Happening soon board, grouped by today, this week, later and just happened.
- Day-of check-in uses a separate QR code; the page then shows who kept their promise, no-shows, surprise guests and the turnout.
What does the public event page show?
A cover photo or a gallery of up to 10 photos in the layout you chose, the headline and the intro, who hosts the event (you or one of your organisations), the date, the venue and a countdown. Below it, the join card: I'm coming, Maybe or Can't, an excitement emoji, a name, an optional e-mail, a message and the questions you added.
The wall lists the people who answered, with their excitement and their message, and guests can send cheers that animate on everyone's screen. Each guest chooses what to show: name and message, name only, message only, or nothing at all (counted, not listed). When a capacity is set and reached, new guests are invited to answer Maybe. The page closes by itself when the event starts.
How does RSVP work for guests?
A guest opens the link or scans the QR code, picks an answer, fills in the questions and confirms; confetti, and their card appears on the wall. No account, no app, no password.
A guest who leaves an e-mail receives a confirmation e-mail and gets an account created for them, so they find the event under their attended events later. Answering again with the same e-mail, the same account or the same phone updates the previous answer instead of adding a duplicate.
After the event has started, the page accepts messages from guests; the host can feature the best ones on the page and show the photos taken on the day.
How does check-in on the day work?
The host switches attendance on from the manage page. From three hours before the start until the end of the day, a second QR code at the entrance opens the check-in page: guests check in with their e-mail or anonymously. An e-mail that matches an RSVP marks a kept promise.
The manage page then compares promises with check-ins: who kept their word, who did not come, which Maybes came, surprise guests and the turnout percentage. Both the answers and the check-ins download as CSV.
Can guests sponsor or contribute?
A sponsorship section can be switched on with a title, a message, a goal and up to eight ways to contribute: a bank account, a mobile money number, PayPal, a link, cash or another method, shown as cards, a list or a minimal line. The page shows the details; payments happen outside Sealique.
Which events is it for?
Birthdays, weddings, team meetings, trainings, conferences, launches and community events. A standalone event page is created from the Happening soon wizard; an attendance register event can also switch its page on from the builder's settings and use both: the page before the day, the signed register on the day.
Event pages, step by step
Start the wizard
Sign in, open Happening soon and choose New event page. Pick the type (meeting, training, conference, birthday, wedding and more), the date and time, and who hosts it: you or one of your organisations.
Write the page
Add a headline and an intro (the wizard suggests some), up to 10 photos with a layout and an accent colour, and the questions you want answered.
Choose the settings
Decide whether guests see names and messages, set a capacity, list the event on the public board, and switch on sponsorship or day-of check-in.
Share the link or QR
Send the link by WhatsApp or e-mail or print the QR code; the wall fills up as people answer, and you follow it from the manage page.
Check guests in on the day
Show the check-in QR at the entrance; afterwards compare promises with check-ins and download both lists as CSV.
Event pages is included with a Sealique account; the processing happens in your browser and on our servers, nothing is shared with third parties.

Questions people ask
Do guests need an account to say they are coming?
No. The page is public: a name is enough, and an e-mail is optional. Anyone who leaves an e-mail gets a confirmation and an account created for them.
Can I hide who is coming?
Yes. Each guest chooses what to show: name and message, name only, message only, or nothing; hidden guests are counted but not listed.
The host can also switch names off for everyone.
Can I limit the number of guests?
Yes. Set a capacity; once the Going count reaches it, new guests are invited to answer Maybe instead.
What happens when the event starts?
Answers close automatically at the start time; the host can close earlier but cannot re-open a started event. The page stays online for check-in and messages.
Is an event page the same as the QR attendance register?
No. The event page collects promises and check-ins by name or e-mail; the attendance register collects a form with fields and a signature inside opening windows.
An attendance event can have both: switch the page on in the builder's settings.
Can people send money or gifts through the page?
The page shows the methods you enter, such as a bank account, a mobile money number, PayPal or a link; payments happen outside Sealique.
Does the event page cost anything?
No. It is included with a Sealique account: no card, no watermark, no limit on guests.
